Our story

Quad Capital Partners is built on a multi-generational legacy of long-term value creation, and deep community engagement. It all started in 1968 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, when Bill Martin founded First Martin Corporation (“FMC”), which under the leadership of Bill and his sons, Seth and Mike Martin, has grown into one of the largest privately held real estate firms in Ann Arbor. The Martin family also founded the Bank of Ann Arbor in 1996, where they remain among its largest shareholders.

Building on over five decades of experience investing in university towns, the next generation—led by Seth and Mike—launched QCP in 2020 to expand the family’s proven strategy into other highly selective markets anchored by flagship universities, strong healthcare systems, and innovation-driven economies. Today, FMC and QCP operate as a unified, family-owned platform managing over $1 billion in assets across 40+ properties in five cities, continuing a legacy of disciplined investing and community partnership.
